Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of King Maximilian II of Bavaria in right-facing profile, rendered with fine neoclassical detail showing wavy hair and a short beard. The truncation of the bust is unadorned. The engraver's signature C. VOIGT appears at the base of the truncation. The circumferential legend reads MAXIMILIAN II KOENIG V. BAYERN, arranged along the upper and lower rim, framed by a fine dentilated border.
