Reverse description A standing female allegorical figure, representing Bavaria, is depicted in full length at center, holding two heraldic shields, one in each arm, symbolizing the two newborn grandsons of King Ludwig I. Behind her rises a large oak tree, its branches spreading across the upper field, atop which rests a crowned shield bearing the Bavarian arms. The commemorative inscriptions identifying the two princes and their respective birth dates are arranged in two columns flanking the central figure, with the date appearing in the lower exergual area.
