Reverse description The Bavarian royal coat of arms, a quartered shield displaying the lozengy (fusilly) of Bavaria and the Palatinate checky with additional quarterings, surmounted by a large royal crown. Two crowned lions rampant serve as supporters on either side of the shield, each facing inward. The denomination inscriptions 3½ GULDEN and 2 THALER appear in the lateral fields, with the fineness legend VII EINE F. MARK arching across the upper field. Below the shield, separated by a horizontal line, the legend VEREINSMÜNZE and the date appear in two lines. The whole is enclosed within a toothed border.
