Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Grand Duke Leopold I facing right, with naturalistically rendered wavy hair and sideburns, in the neoclassical portrait style. The effigy is unadorned and undraped, occupying the central field. The encircling legend reads LEOPOLD GROSHERZOG VON BADEN, separated from the coin's toothed border by a narrow flat rim.
