Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing effigy of Duke Adolphus of Nassau, rendered in high relief with finely detailed wavy hair and a light moustache. The truncation of the neck is unadorned, and the engraver's signature ZOLLMANN appears in small letters along the lower neck truncation. The encircling legend reads ADOLPH HERZOG ZU NASSAU, and the field is bounded by a continuous beaded border.
