| Obverse description | Panoramic view of the city of Nuremberg spread across the lower field, rendered in fine detail with towers, spires, and fortifications. Above the cityscape, two winged cherubs (putti) flank a central heraldic composition consisting of three shields: the Imperial eagle, the Nuremberg lion, and the Franconian rake. The circular legend MONETA NOVA REIPBV • NORIBERG • runs along the upper periphery, while a three-line German inscription NACH DEM ALTEN / SCHROT VND KORN • / G.F.N. appears in the lower exergue. The overall composition is characteristic of the high-Baroque civic coinage tradition of the Free Imperial Cities. |
