Obverse description Panoramic view of the city of Nuremberg spread across the lower field, rendered in fine detail with towers, spires, and fortifications. Above the cityscape, two winged cherubs (putti) flank a central heraldic composition consisting of three shields: the Imperial eagle, the Nuremberg lion, and the Franconian rake. The circular legend MONETA NOVA REIPBV • NORIBERG • runs along the upper periphery, while a three-line German inscription NACH DEM ALTEN / SCHROT VND KORN • / G.F.N. appears in the lower exergue. The overall composition is characteristic of the high-Baroque civic coinage tradition of the Free Imperial Cities.
