| Reverse description | A large double-headed imperial eagle displayed, each head surmounted by a crown, the two crowns united beneath a single arched imperial crown at the top of the field. On the eagle's breast is affixed an orb bearing a cross, the symbol of imperial authority. The wings are spread wide and rendered with detailed feathering in the early Baroque manner. The surrounding Latin legend names Emperor Ferdinand II and gives the date 1620, reading FERDINANDVS II D G ROM IMP SEMP AVGVS 1620, with a mint mark, the whole enclosed within a beaded inner border and a reeded outer rim. |
