The text records his full title, birth date (Anno Christi M.DC.XXXIX), death date and hour (XIII April, circa the third afternoon hour, Anno Christi M.DC.LXV), and his age at death (26 years, 8 months, 13 days). A small decorative floral or foliate ornament appears at the top of the field above the first line of text.
