Reverse description Central shield bearing the arms of Lorraine — a bend sinister charged with three spread eagles — surmounted by a ducal crown topped with a small cross, all rendered in bold relief against a granulated field. The crowned escutcheon occupies the majority of the reverse field. A circular Latin motto legend surrounds the device, with the date appearing at the base of the legend, and the entire design is enclosed within a milled border.
