| 背面描述 | Three-quarter bust of a pirate figure to the right, attired in a tricorn hat, a buttoned coat, and crossed chest straps, presented in a commanding and dramatic pose. A large stylized numeral '2' overlaps the lower portion of the coat, integrating the denomination into the design. In the background, three-masted sailing ships are depicted in battle formation, evoking the maritime atmosphere of the Alboran Sea. The date '2025' is inscribed above the central composition, and the word 'taleros' appears in the lower field alongside the numeral '2'. The design employs a richly detailed, engraving-inspired aesthetic typical of commemorative fantasy issues. |

The Talero was a Spanish colonial trade denomination struck primarily at American mints from the 16th century onward — a direct cognate of the German Thaler and ancestor of the dollar. This 2025 issue revives that name for the Alboran Sea region, a body of water between the Spanish mainland and Morocco that has been a contested navigation zone and geopolitical pressure point for centuries, sitting at the western mouth of the Mediterranean where Atlantic and Mediterranean current systems collide.
