| Reverse description | The reverse presents a vivid colourised composition depicting two mermaids rendered in high relief against a textured, wave-patterned field accented with decorative tapa-cloth geometric motifs. The upper mermaid reclines gracefully with flowing, brilliantly coloured red-orange hair cascading across the upper field, her outstretched hand presenting a lustrous pearl. A second mermaid occupies the lower portion of the design, her golden upswept hair and colourised pink-and-purple scaled tail visible in the foreground, while deep blue flowing tresses of a third implied figure emerge at the lower left.
