Obverse description Multicolour note with a central intaglio vignette of a seated allegorical female figure holding a lyre, sailing ships visible in the background, set against a salmon-toned guilloche underprint. The bank title "BANCO DEL ECUADOR" arches across the top in large letterpress text, with ornate guilloche corner panels each bearing the numeral "2". The lower portion carries the date "Guayaquil, Diciembre 1° de 1907" and the inscription "VALE DOS SUCRES" within a dark cartouche, with the American Bank Note Co., New York imprint at the foot.
