| Obverse description | The province name 'WFRISIA' is inscribed in three lines across the field, arranged in a characteristic hammered-coin layout with the abbreviation reading downward. The date 1671 appears in the lower portion of the flan. The legends are rendered in large, bold capital letters consistent with the provincial hammered coinage style of the Dutch Republic period. A small pellet or cross mark is visible at center field. The irregular flan, typical of hammered production, gives the coin its characteristically uneven outline. |

| Reverse description | A rampant lion passant to the left, wearing a crown, is depicted in bold relief occupying the majority of the flan. The lion, a heraldic symbol of the province of West Friesland, is shown with raised forepaws and a curling tail, rendered in the vigorous if somewhat crude style typical of Dutch provincial hammered coinage. The denomination numeral '2' and the abbreviation 'S' (for Stuivers) appear divided on either side of the lion's body. The coin's irregular, lobate flan is characteristic of the hammered technique employed at provincial Dutch mints of this era. |
