| Obverse description | The crowned eagle of Deventer displayed within a beaded inner circle, serving as the civic arms of the city. The eagle is depicted with wings spread and talons visible, rendered in a crude, emergency-issue style consistent with siege coinage. A small shield device appears at the base of the eagle.
