| Beschrijving keerzijde | The four-digit date is struck in the centre of the rectangular field, enclosed within a pearled rectangular border consistent with the obverse design. The numerals are crudely rendered in the hammered style typical of late VOC coinage for Java, with the characters appearing bold and slightly irregular due to the hand-striking technique. The flat, unadorned field around the date shows the characteristic surface texture and patination of a heavily circulated copper piece. The pearled border follows the contour of the irregular planchet and is partially struck on all sides. |
