| Obverse description | The obverse displays a bold four-line Latin inscription filling the field, reading WEST / FRI / SI / AE across three central lines, with the date 1737 at the bottom. A decorative privy mark — consisting of a stylized fleur-de-lis or trefoil ornament flanked by rosettes — appears prominently above the topmost line of text. The lettering is rendered in large, plain capital characters typical of Dutch provincial coinage of the early eighteenth century. The design is entirely typographic, with no figurative imagery on this face. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features the crowned arms of West Friesland at centre, displaying a shield charged with two rampant lions passant guardant arranged vertically, each separated and accompanied by small square bezants, rendered in high relief. An ornate open crown surmounts the shield. The denomination numeral '2' appears to the left of the shield in the field, and the abbreviation 'S' (for Stuivers) appears to the right, together flanking the arms. A faint circular inner border runs along the coin's rim. |
