Obverse description Central three-line inscription naming the city of Kampen with the date, rendered in Latin lettering within the field. The legend reads CAM·PEN with the year below, presented in a plain unadorned arrangement typical of Dutch municipal coinage of the late 17th century. The lettering is separated by pellet stops, framed by the irregular flan characteristic of hammered silver coinage of this period.
