Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Frederick II of Prussia facing right, the hair rendered in long flowing locks tied with a ribbon at the nape. The circular legend FRIDERICUS BORUSSORUM REX runs along the periphery. The portrait is executed in a classical style typical of late 18th-century Prussian coinage, with fine detail in the laurel wreath and drapery at the truncation.

Reverse description The Prussian eagle displayed in flight, shown with spread wings and crowned head, descending toward the denomination in the lower field. The numeral 2 flanked by six-pointed stars appears above the legend STUBER, with the date 17 A 72 arranged in a single line below, the mint mark A (Berlin) incorporated centrally within the date. The eagle is rendered with fine feather detail and carries the sceptre and orb in its talons.
