| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Frederick II of Prussia facing right, the hair rendered in long flowing locks tied with a ribbon at the nape. The circular legend FRIDERICUS BORUSSORUM REX runs along the periphery. The portrait is executed in a classical style typical of late 18th-century Prussian coinage, with fine detail in the laurel wreath and drapery at the truncation. |
