| Obverse description | Central crowned shield bearing the arms of the city of Emden — a displayed eagle above a triple-towered fortification — with the denomination numerals '2' and 'S' flanking the shield on either side. A circular legend surrounds the shield in the field, rendered in Latin script. The crown above the shield is ornate, with visible pearl and foliate detailing. The coin exhibits the irregular, slightly uneven flan characteristic of hammered silver coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | An elaborate floriated cross occupying the majority of the reverse field, its four arms richly adorned with scrolling foliage and floral ornament. A small quatrefoil motif is placed at the center of the cross within a beaded or linear inner circle. A circular Latin legend reading 'BENEDICTVS. DOMINVS. DEVS.' runs around the periphery of the coin, punctuated by stops. The overall composition reflects the decorative ecclesiastical style common to late seventeenth-century German municipal coinage. |
