Obverse description Two ornate crested helmets face one another across the field, with a quartered shield of Guelders positioned below between them. The design is rendered in a late-Gothic heraldic style characteristic of the Low Countries. A circular beaded inner border frames the central devices. The legend is intersected by the helmet crests and reads continuously around the periphery in uncial characters.
