| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a heraldic eagle displayed, rendered in high relief with detailed feathering across the spread wings and body, typical of Gothic ecclesiastical coinage. The eagle, symbol of the Prince-Bishopric of Liège, faces to the right with wings raised. The design is enclosed within a plain inner circle bordered by a beaded inner ring. The surrounding legend, in Gothic uncial characters, reads the bishop's titulature and runs between the inner beaded border and the outer toothed rim of the coin. |

| Reverse description | Central device consisting of an ornate floriated long cross with fleur-de-lis terminals at each arm, the four quarters filled with elaborate Gothic floral or trefoil flourishes, characteristic of 14th-century Low Countries ecclesiastical gros coinage. The cross motif is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend in Gothic uncial script, running between the inner border and the irregular toothed outer rim, records the mint attribution to Huy and the coin's status as a new coinage. |
