| Obverse description | Right-facing laureate effigy of King Frederik III in elaborate plate armor, the pauldrons and breastplate richly engraved; the king wears an ermine-lined sash draped across the chest, a lace neck scarf, and the jeweled collar of the Order of the Elephant suspended at the breast. The portrait is rendered in high relief in a detailed baroque style, with the truncation of the bust visible at the lower field. The encircling legend runs along the coin's periphery, separated from the effigy by the inner border. |
