| Beschrijving voorzijde | Crowned and draped bust of Frederik III facing right, depicted with long curling hair and wearing armor with an ornate gorget and a chain of the Order of the Elephant across the chest. The royal crown, surmounted by a cross, sits prominently atop the king's head. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque portrait style characteristic of mid-17th-century Danish coinage. The encircling Latin legend reads FRID: III: D: G: REX: DAN: NOR: VAN: GOT, separated by pellets, running along the outer border of the coin. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The quartered royal arms of Denmark surmounted by a large royal crown with orb finial occupy the central field. The upper-left and lower-right quarters display three passant lions above three hearts (Denmark), the upper-right quarter bears a rampant lion with a halberd (Norway), and the lower quarters display three crowns (Sweden, as claimed) and other heraldic devices. The date 16-63 is divided to either side of the shield at mid-height, with the mint-master initials I and S placed in the lower flanking fields. The surrounding Latin legend DOMINVS PROVIDEBIT (The Lord Will Provide) runs along the outer border, punctuated by ornamental rosette stops. |
