| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Frederik III, crowned and wearing long flowing hair, armored with a lace cravat and ornate mantle visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief in a Baroque portrait style typical of mid-17th century Danish coinage. A rope or cable border encircles the inner field, separating the portrait from the outer legend. The Latin royal title legend runs clockwise around the periphery. |
