| Reverse description | Central device consisting of a crowned oval cartouche enclosing the rampant lion of Norway, rendered in high relief with fine detailing of the mane and tail; the crown above the cartouche is of the royal closed type. Flanking the cartouche on either side are large Roman numeral I marks denoting the denomination, while the mintmaster's initials F·G appear below the shield on a small anvil or tablet. The date 1670 is inscribed on the left side of the field. The circumferential Latin motto legend reads around the beaded border. |
