Obverse description Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the third definitive portrait by Raphael David Maklouf, depicting the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem, a pearl drop earring, and a pearl necklace. The hair is rendered in soft, naturalistic waves beneath the jewelled crown. The engraver's initials RDM appear incuse on the truncation of the bust. The peripheral legend reads ELIZABETH II to the left and DEI·GRA·REG·F·D to the right, all in raised Latin capital letters within a reeded border.
