| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresa facing right, her hair dressed and adorned with a veil falling over her shoulder, rendered in high relief in the Baroque portrait tradition. The effigy is detailed with fine engraving showing lace at the décolletage secured by a brooch. The encircling Latin legend is divided by the portrait, reading continuously around the periphery of the coin within a milled border. |
