Obverse description Draped bust of Empress Fausta facing right, her elaborately waved and crimped hair arranged in multiple layered rows and dressed with a jewelled fillet, with a large decorative bun visible at the nape of the neck. The empress is depicted in a mantle or paludamentum fastened at the shoulder, rendered in the refined court style characteristic of Constantinian portraiture. The legend encircles the bust in Latin majuscules, divided across the field. The high-relief portrait displays careful attention to the empress's facial features, conveying both imperial dignity and idealized femininity.
