Obverse description Central device features a stylized mountain landscape with a broad-canopied tree rising prominently from the center, flanked by two llamas in the field below, rendered in a folk-engraving style typical of early Bolivian coinage. A ring of nine five-pointed stars encircles the upper portion of the design. The circular legend REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination, mint mark, date, and assayer initials appear in the lower field, all separated by dots.
