Reverse description The reverse features the denomination inscription II SKILLING DANSK arranged in two or three lines across the central field, within a plain or lightly decorated border. The surrounding legend continues the royal titulature NOR·VAN·GOT·REX (King of Norway, the Vandals, and the Goths), with the date 1665 incorporated into the legend. The lettering is in a bold Roman script typical of Danish hammered coinage of the period. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck production of the era. The overall layout is legible despite the compact format of this small billon denomination.
