| Descrizione del dritto | Crowned ornate oval shield bearing the Arms of Denmark, superimposed upon a long-armed cross whose arms divide the surrounding legend into four segments. No inner circle separates the shield and cross from the legend. The royal title, reading CHRISTIAN IIII D G DA NOR VAN GOTO REX, is continuous, beginning on the obverse and concluding on the reverse. The lettering is rendered in Latin script within the outer rim. |

Christian IV's final years were financially catastrophic. The Torstenson War (1643–45) ended in Danish defeat and the Treaty of Brömsebro, stripping Denmark of significant territories and toll revenues. The crown's fiscal position was so degraded by the mid-1640s that billon coinage of this kind — struck at a silver fineness barely distinguishable from base metal — became the practical currency of everyday commerce. The skilling denominations from this period reflect a monarchy scraping to maintain a functioning money supply through prolonged military humiliation.
KM#132 spans Christian's last four years of reign; he died in February 1648.
