Obverse description Central field features the elaborate interlaced royal cypher of Christian VI (C6) in ornate script, surmounted by an open Danish royal crown with cross finial. The monogram is rendered in a flowing, intertwined cursive style occupying the majority of the flan. A circular Latin legend surrounds the device along the coin's periphery, abbreviating the king's full royal titles. The design is executed in moderate relief against a plain field, characteristic of early eighteenth-century Danish colonial coinage.
