| Opis rewersu | Irregular rectangular hammered silver flan with a granulated field. At the upper centre, a large oval kikumon (chrysanthemum seal) countermark is prominently applied, flanked by four smaller circular boss countermarks arranged symmetrically in the upper field. Below the countermarks, three columns of Chinese characters in traditional regular script (kaisho) are arranged vertically, reading right to left, attesting to the guarantee of purity by the Ginza (Silver Mint) and the authority of the Jōze mint official. A rope-pattern border frames the perimeter of the flan, consistent with standard Tokugawa Ginza coinage practice. |
