背面描述 Central field inscribed with the Shi'a kalima in three lines: the first line reads 'La ilaha illa Allah' (There is no god but God), the second 'Muhammad rasul Allah' (Muhammad is the Messenger of God), and the third 'Ali wali Allah' (Ali is the friend of God), affirming the Twelver Shi'a confession of faith standard to Safavid coinage. The legends are rendered in nasta'liq script and enclosed within a simple rectangular cartouche framed by a beaded border. The irregular flan edges are typical of the hammered production technique employed at the Revan mint.

附加信息

Sultan Husayn's reign ended in catastrophe — the Afghan Ghilzai under Mahmud Khan sacked Isfahan in 1722, effectively destroying the Safavid state. This piece dates to just a few years before that collapse, struck at Yerevan when the empire's administrative grip on its Caucasian mints was already loosening under military pressure from the Ottomans to the west and Afghan incursions from the east. The Yerevan mint changed hands repeatedly across the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, passing between Safavid and Ottoman control.

Album 2679 encompasses several regional varieties from this standard; the KM 275.1 attribution anchors this specifically to Yerevan production.
