| Beschrijving voorzijde | The entire field is occupied by a multi-line Shi'ite kalima legend in bold Nasta'liq script, reading from right to left across the flan. The central inscription bears the shahada followed by the names of the twelve Imams of Twelver Shi'a Islam, arranged in successive horizontal registers. The script is deeply struck in high relief against a plain, undecorated field, with marginal portions of the legend partially off-flan due to the irregular hammered planchet. No decorative borders or cartouches frame the inscription. |
