The mint name Bihbahan (بهبهان) and the Hijri regnal date 1029 AH (corresponding to 1620 CE) are struck within the legend. The inscription reads: 'Servant of the Shah of Guardianship, Abbas — may God perpetuate his kingdom and sultanate, and upon all the worlds his benevolence and beneficence — struck at Bihbahan 1029.' The strike is characteristic of provincial Safavid hammered silver coinage, with the flan showing irregular planchet edges typical of the period. |
