| Reverse description | A centrally placed radiated tortoise (Geochelone radiata), known as Tu`i Malila, presented in profile view facing left, rendered with detail to the carapace patterning. The denomination 2 SENITI is inscribed in the lower field beneath the tortoise. The design is enclosed within a beaded border. Tu`i Malila was famously gifted to the Tongan Royal Family by Captain James Cook in 1777 and became a celebrated symbol of Tongan heritage. |
