The cypher is topped by a finely detailed royal crown with cross finial and beaded arches, rendered in high relief. The field is plain and unadorned, with no peripheral legend, giving full visual prominence to the monogram. The overall design is characteristically restrained in the late 18th-century Scandinavian neoclassical tradition.
