| Aanvullende informatie |
San Marino suspended its gold coinage program during World War II and did not resume until the early 1970s, making 1974 part of a self-consciously revivalist series rather than an unbroken tradition. The "Resumption of Coinage" title is unusually candid for official numismatic nomenclature — most states quietly restart programs without advertising the gap.
Mintage was tightly controlled and directed almost entirely toward the collector market, which was standard practice for San Marino issues of this decade.
