| Reverse description | The quartered coat of arms of Grand Master Francisco Ximenez de Texada displayed prominently in the center of the field, surmounted by a grand master's crown and encircled by an elaborate ornamental wreath of flowering branches. The shield is divided into quarters, featuring the heraldic devices of the Ximenez de Texada family — including a tower and a rampant lion — alongside the arms of the Order of St. John. Flanking the crowned shield at upper left and upper right are the denomination indicators S and 2, denoting 2 Scudi. The overall composition is richly engraved in the Baroque heraldic tradition characteristic of Maltese coinage of the period. |
