Obverse description A haloed double-headed eagle with wings spread occupies the central field, bearing the Austrian shield (red-white-red horizontal bars) on its breast. The legend OESTERREICH arcs along the upper periphery. Below the eagle, the denomination numeral '2' appears to the left and the abbreviation 'S' to the right, with the date 1936 inscribed in the exergue between them. The design is rendered in high relief with fine feather detail on the eagle's plumage.
