Reverse description A shield bearing the crowned lion rampant of Schleswig, rendered in late Gothic heraldic style, is centrally placed within a beaded inner circle. The shield is framed by a plain border with the Latin legend distributed around the outer circumference. The coin shown exhibits an irregular flan with a small clip at the lower right edge, typical of hand-hammered production of the period.
