Obverse description Full-length effigy of King Frederik I depicted in full plate armour, standing facing, with both arms lowered and a mace or sword held in the left hand at thigh level; the figure bears a beard, consistent with the first portrait type. The tassets of the armour display the Holstein arms. The royal figure extends partially beyond an inner beaded circle, with the Latin legend arranged in the outer field.
