Reverse description Three heraldic shields of arms are arranged in a trilobed composition, their tops converging to form a triangular void at the centre in which a small ring or annulet is placed. The uppermost shield bears the arms associated with the see or its episcopal incumbents, while the flanking shields carry additional armorial bearings. The overall design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the divided legend MONE - NOVA - MIND. running in the outer field, denoting this as a new coinage of Minden. The arrangement reflects the characteristic multi-shield reverse type common to late-medieval north German episcopal issues.
