Obverse description Crowned quartered arms of Clemens August of Bavaria displayed within an ornate cartouche, incorporating the heraldic devices of his multiple ecclesiastical and secular dignities. The elaborate shield is surmounted by a princely crown and flanked by the abbreviated legend around the periphery. The denomination numeral '14' (indicating 1/14 Thaler) appears prominently in the lower field below the shield. The border is formed by a fine toothed or beaded rim.
