| 备注 |
The Allied Military Authority Schilling notes were produced in advance of the liberation of Austria, with Bradbury, Wilkinson printing the series in New Malden well before Allied forces actually entered the country. Austria presented an unusual administrative problem: unlike Germany, it was officially treated as the first victim of Nazi aggression under the 1943 Moscow Declaration, which shaped how the occupation currency was framed politically — issued under "Allied Military Authority" rather than the more overtly occupational language used for Germany.
The series circulated alongside the existing Reichsmark until Austrian monetary sovereignty was gradually restored. Bradbury, Wilkinson's engraved intaglio work on Allied military issues of this period is generally of higher quality than the AMC notes produced simultaneously for Germany by the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
