Reverse description The reverse displays a large crowned Imperial double-headed eagle, the symbol of the Holy Roman Empire under Charles VI, with wings spread and detailed feather work rendered in fine engraving. On the eagle's breast appears a circular orb (Reichsapfel), a traditional attribute of imperial sovereignty. The mintmaster's initials IHL appear in the lower exergue beneath the eagle's tail feathers. The encircling legend, reading CAROLUS VI D G ROM IMP SEMP AUG, identifies the reigning Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI.
