| 背面描述 | Green intaglio-printed note bearing REPUBLIK INDONESIA in the top panel, with the Garuda Pancasila state emblem as the central vignette, rendered in fine detail with the shield, wings, and the motto ribbon inscribed BHINNEKA TUNGGAL IKA. A denomination panel at the left reads DUA SETENGAH RUPIAH, while a legal warning text block occupies the right side. Guilloche ornaments and the numeral 2½ fill the four corners, and the printer's imprint SECURITY BANKNOTE COMPANY appears at the base. |

| 备注 |
Indonesia's early republican issues were produced abroad out of necessity — domestic printing infrastructure capable of handling security paper simply didn't exist yet. The Security Banknote Company in Chicago handled several of these low-denomination notes during the early 1950s, part of a broader program to supply a newly independent nation with credible currency while local capacity was built up.
The 2½ Rupiah denomination itself reflects Dutch colonial arithmetic still embedded in Indonesian monetary convention — the "half" unit carried over directly from the guilder system. It was phased out well before the catastrophic 1965 redenomination that wiped three zeros from the currency.
